Sign up now to be a part of our in-person team that will give back this Christmas. There are lots of ways to serve with Toy Share in the coming weeks! Our hope is to serve 400 children, so we’d greatly value your involvement - we need your help to make this initiative a success! 

SERVING REQUIREMENTS

• All volunteers must pre-register here to serve.
• Background clearances are required for those who serve. We will gladly facilitate and cover the cost for volunteer clearances. If you do not already have background clearances on file at the church, click here to get started! (This will connect you with Kara Horm, our Clearance Coordinator. Please let her know you need to start the clearance process.)
• Children age 8-12 are welcome to volunteer but must be supervised by their parent/guardian the entire time. Please do not sign them up on the registration. Instead, send an email with the date that they are serving along with their name and age to toyshare@cla.church.
• Children age 13+ are also welcome to serve and SHOULD sign up online. 

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

• Christmas Carnival Game Hosts - These friendly volunteers will need to be comfortable interacting with kids as well as adults as you host a carnival-type game for the kids. This spot is great for someone looking to serve with their family. Dates needed are December 6 and 9.
• Cookie Share - Dates needed are December 5 and 7. Click HERE to register. 
• Decorating - Volunteers will assist with setting up holiday decor in the Toy Share areas. All decor and instructions will be provided. Date needed is December 5.
• Delivery of Gifts - Gifts will be delivered to the homes of individuals who do not have any form of transportation. This will be done in teams of two. Dates needed is December 14.
• Food Distribution Team - This team will help collect and inventory food bags from church family donations. These individuals must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. They will also pass out food during Toy Share pick up days. Dates needed are October 26, November 2, 9, 16. 
• Greeters - Individuals will be needed to welcome families and point them toward the various stations. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Hospitality Food Service - Individuals will help set up, replenish and clean up food for the parent shopper lounge, hot chocolate bar and kids snack bar. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Host/Hostess in Parent Lounge - These individuals will be in our parent shopper lounge area. As a “cup of kindness,” we will offer coffee, a hot chocolate bar and cookies. We will also offer information regarding the various support groups the church provides, as well as social services in the area. These volunteers will have the opportunity for personal interaction with our shoppers and must be able to practice compassionate and purposeful listening. They must also be able to pray with shoppers. Dates needed are December 6 and 9.
• Kids Ministry (Must be age 13 or older)- Individuals are needed to assist with our kids programming. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Parking Lot & Security - Individuals are needed to monitor the parking lot and various indoor building areas. Dates needed are December 6 and 9.
• Personal Shoppers - Individuals are needed to help guide shoppers through the various stations in a timely manner. These volunteers will have the opportunity for personal interaction with our shoppers and must be able to practice compassionate and purposeful listening. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Toy Management - Individuals will need to restock and condense the Toy Store area. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Translators - People are needed to help translate for families in attendance. Primary languages needed are Spanish, Arabic and Ukrainian. Dates needed are December 6 and 9. 
• Welcome Center & Registration - Individuals are needed to verify family IDs and confirm registration info. Dates needed are December 6 and 9.
